Licences & product activation¶
A licensed product (an app you install yourself) gives you a licence key
shaped like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX once the purchase is paid.
Finding your licence key¶
- Dashboard → My products — the key is copyable here.
- Also sent by email and WhatsApp with the invoice.
Activating¶
Paste the key into the activation screen inside the product itself (not on the Berlanggan website). The product contacts Berlanggan's activation server to verify and bind the licence to that device.
Seats / devices¶
Every plan has a seat limit — how many devices may be active at once. For example, a 2-seat plan can be activated on 2 computers; a 3rd activation attempt is rejected until a seat is freed.
Moving an activation to another device¶
- Dashboard → Devices — find the old device, click Release.
- Activate on the new device as usual.
If the old device is no longer accessible (broken/lost), release its seat from the Dashboard, then activate on the new device.
Licence status¶
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The licence is valid, the product works fully. |
| Expired | The licence period ended (for a subscription: not yet renewed). |
| Seat full | All seats are in use — release a device first. |
| Suspended / revoked | Disabled (e.g. an overdue subscription, a refund, abuse). |
Products usually keep a short offline grace period, so a brief internet outage doesn't immediately stop the app.
Subscriptions and licences¶
For a licensed product sold as a subscription, the licence status follows the subscription status. Once the subscription renews, the licence becomes active again on the next check — see Subscriptions & renewal.
